The Century Precision Optics PL 2x Dupli-Cator is a professional extender designed to double the focal length of PL-mount lenses, extending the reach of any lens without changing it. It is widely used in film, commercials, wildlife and sports when a longer focal length is needed while keeping the look and optical character of the original lens. With its 2x factor, it turns a 50mm into a 100mm, or a 100mm into a 200mm, offering a practical solution for shoots where access to the subject is limited or a stronger perspective compression is wanted. Like any 2x extender, it costs 2 stops of light, reducing the effective aperture of the lens used. Its rugged build and precision mechanics ensure reliable integration with professional cine lenses, maintaining the image quality and coverage demanding productions need.
