The JVC GR-DVL145EG is a compact MiniDV camcorder, ideal for productions after an authentic retro/DV finish, found footage or a Y2K aesthetic. It records to MiniDV tape with DV output (i.LINK/FireWire) for direct lossless digital capture, and offers 16x optical zoom, extendable to 700x with digital zoom. It features Digital Colour NightScope, which records in colour even in very low light, and a Super High-Band processor giving 520 lines of horizontal resolution. It runs on 11V (AC adapter) or 7.2V battery, and its compact metal body (83 x 94 mm cross-section) is very easy to handle for dynamic shoulder or handheld shots. A perfect B-camera for a “tape” look in music videos, retro-style commercials or diegetic sequences within drama.
