Made from high-quality optical glass, the diopters sit directly in the matte box (standard 4×5.65” format), offering a practical, fast and cinematic way to get close to your subject with maximum sharpness and no distortion. Available in different strengths (+0.25, +0.5, +1, +2, etc.), they let you adjust depth of field and the degree of magnification you want. The higher the diopter value, the shorter the focus distance and the greater the magnification. They are ideal for product shots, nature, portraits or small objects, bringing an intimate, detailed aesthetic. Unlike macro converters or extenders, diopters do not affect light transmission or colour, keeping the lens's original optical character. They can be combined with each other or used with creative filters such as Black Pro-Mist or Glimmerglass for unique effects.
