The Laowa 12mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine PL is an ultra-wide lens designed for film productions that want the widest field of view without distortion. It belongs to Venus Optics' Zero-D (Zero Distortion) series, known for keeping straight lines and natural perspective even at the most extreme angles. With a maximum aperture of T2.9, it offers excellent low-light performance and soft bokeh, ideal for wide shots in tight spaces or for architectural, landscape and action shots. Its Full Frame / VistaVision coverage makes it compatible with large-format cameras such as the ARRI Alexa Mini LF, RED V-Raptor or Sony FX3, among others. The optical design includes 16 elements in 10 groups and minimises chromatic aberration and flare, keeping outstanding sharpness across the frame. Its cinema build, with standard 0.8 mod focus and iris gears and a 270° focus throw, ensures precise, smooth control by hand or with follow focus systems.
